A sensing layer that connects the sensors on your site, knows where every reading belongs and keeps the living digital twin in sync with reality. Kaiinos Node, the edge device we are developing, brings it all together.
Surveys, drone flights and robot scans give you snapshots. Between them, pallets move, valves turn, soil dries out and bearings wear. The twin drifts away from reality, and every robot planning on it inherits the error.
Same site over 30 days, with a survey every 10 days
ILLUSTRATIVE MODEL · NOT MEASURED DATA
The sensing layer works in two roles. In the environment, it keeps the space current. On an asset, it keeps the machine's condition current. Both feed one living digital twin.
Mounted on walls, racks, poles and ceilings. Nodes see what moved, what appeared and who is where, and update the twin the moment it happens.

Clamped or bolted to pumps, motors, transformers and vehicles. Nodes track condition and position, so the twin knows how each asset is doing, not just where it is.
Illustrative example
Kaiinos Node connects the industrial sensors a site already uses and adds Kaiinos sensing modules where there are gaps. Every reading is tagged with where it belongs in the twin, so a substation and a cold store run on the same platform with different eyes.
Connects existing industrial sensors over standard interfaces, runs change detection on the device, stamps every reading with precise time and position, and only sends what matters.
Solid-state LiDAR and depth. Sees geometry change: new objects, blocked paths, moved layouts.
EnvironmentRGB and thermal. Reads gauges, spots hotspots and counts what is there, processed on the node.
Environment · AssetVibration, IMU and tilt. Catches wear on rotating machines and movement on structures.
AssetTemperature, humidity, gas and particulates. The conditions robots and people work in.
Environment · AssetGNSS with RTK and UWB. Tracks where assets are and gives robots fixed anchors to localise against.
Asset · RobotsListens for leaks, grinding and alarms. Sound often changes before anything can be seen.
Environment · AssetRaw data stays on the node. What travels is a small, precise event that the twin understands and robots can act on.
This is what the sensing layer sends when a pallet lands in the wrong aisle. A few hundred bytes, not a video stream.
Robots move. Nodes stay. Together they cover what neither can alone.
Every node is surveyed once and never moves. Robots localise against them indoors, under canopy and anywhere satellite positioning fails.
Nodes mesh together and carry the link into tunnels, plants, forests and below deck, so robots stay supervised deep inside.
A node spots heat, a leak or an intruder and Kaiinos sends the machine best placed to check. Robots go where they are needed, not on a loop.
