Mission Orterra

Understanding the planet as one connected system.

Robotics is one part of a much bigger ambition. Earth systems do not operate in silos. Intelligence should not either.

Why Orterra

The planet is managed in pieces. It doesn't behave in pieces.

Energy grids, transport networks, farmland, rivers, forests and cities are planned and watched by different teams, with different data, on different timelines.

But a drought changes crop yields, water levels, energy demand and wildfire risk at the same time. Decisions made in one silo land in all the others.

Mission Orterra is our long-term programme to connect them: one shared, continuously updated understanding of how Earth systems work together.

Seven domains

One shared context. Seven systems.

01

Energy

Generation, grids and demand, and how weather and land use shape them.

02

Movement

How people, goods and machines move, and where the network is under strain.

03

Land

Use, cover and change across cities, industry and open country.

04

Agriculture

Soil, crops and yields, read together with water and climate.

05

Water

Rivers, reservoirs, coasts and the pressures on each.

06

Ecosystems

Forests, habitats and biodiversity, and how they respond to change.

07

Climate

The conditions that connect all of the above, now and ahead.

ORTERRA

Understood together.

One model where a change in one system shows up in the others.

Principles

Three commitments behind the mission.

Connected.

One shared context across every system, instead of seven separate views.

Continuous.

Persistent observation that keeps up with change, not one-off snapshots.

Actionable.

Explainable answers that people and machines can act on.

From aisle to planet

The same data layer, at every scale.

What we build for robots today is the foundation for Orterra tomorrow.

TODAY

Sites

Living digital twins of warehouses, plants and sites that robots, drones and humanoids work in.

NEXT

Regions

Connected sites, networks and landscapes, sensed and understood as one area.

MISSION

Planet

Earth systems understood together, continuously.
